With great pleasure, the founder and president of ELLET, Lydia Carras, accepted the invitation to participate in The Chios Festival 2025.
There, she had the opportunity to present the important and enduring work of ELLET, with the support of sponsors and researchers from Chios, both on a national level and specifically in relation to the island of Chios.
After her speech, a large audience expressed interest in ELLET’s work and its future initiatives, staying on until midnight to calmly exchange ideas and discuss potential collaborations for the protection of Chios’ historic settlements and heritage.
We warmly thank Ninetta Vafeia, ELLET member and our representative at the European Historic Houses Association, for hosting the event in the beautiful garden of the restored Vafeas Mansion in Kampos, Chios.
We also thank Dimitra Moutzouri for the excellent organization of the entire festival.
